Line of Light Festival

To celebrate the inauguration of the Northern Line Extension, the Line of Light Festival transformed the areas above the new tunnels between Kennington, Nine Elms, and Battersea Power Station stations into a captivating light trail. The festival featured large-scale light installations and immersive soundscapes, highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of the local communities. Notably, Australian artists Projection Teknik created the daisy-chain of high-density light beams that illuminated the route, while violinist Emma Smith interpreted local musicians’ pieces into string arrangements, available as podcasts for visitors to enjoy during the event.


We developed a dedicated landing page featuring an interactive map, enabling festival audiences to plan their routes in advance and access information about the installations and soundscapes. This digital platform ensured that the festival's artistic offerings were accessible both on-site and remotely, extending the event's reach and legacy.
