About the event
Learn to sing like they did in the movie and immerse yourself in an authentic singing 'Sister Act' Experience
Just like in the beloved movie where Deloris (AKA Sister Mary Clarence) takes the reigns of the resident choir, you too can be involved in a little bit of the movie magic as we re-create these scenes together and learn the songs under the direction from your very own visiting choir leader, Kirk Hastings!
You will learn multi-layered-harmony arrangements of the three main songs in the movie:
- 'Hail Holy Queen'
Where Deloris leads her brand new choir into their first performance
- 'My God'
The choir’s second performance to a full cathedral after the news of their talents has spread
- 'I will Follow Him'
The grand finale song after Deloris escapes her mobster boyfriend Vince LaRocca!
And will have a chance to
- Immerse yourself in an authentic Sister Act experience :
Learn the multiple-harmony arrangements from your favourite hit movie in a fun-filled way from start to finish within an actual church setting!
- Take a professional audio recording home
At the end of the session, we will record the whole choir singing all three songs. This recording will be available to you as an mp3 by download-link, sent to you via the email.
- Meet many like-minded people
Remember everyone in that room will love singing, love Sister Act or love both! This is a great way to meet new people and to have a great time on a summery Sunday afternoon.
- Enjoy free tea, coffee and cake!
There will be tea and coffee provided in the cafeteria hall as well as some scrumptious cakes kindly supplied by Emilia’s Cakes who’s shop is based in Coventry.
